Welcome!

Our mission is to help low-income and youth of color to develop personally and professionally within an affirming community.

 

Through authentic programming and services, we foster agency in youth and first-generation college students to navigate and overcome systemic barriers in their education and careers. Kid City’s college access and persistence, career readiness, and music programs are responsive to the holistic needs of youth and young adults and embrace the unique voices and experiences of each of them.

 

What We Offer

 

College Access & Persistence

We provide crucial college access programs and support current and soon-to-be first-generation college students need to navigate higher education - including their parents and families who are experiencing what it's like for to have a child in college for the first time.

Music Education

Since opening our doors, the sound of students learning to play their instruments has reverberated Kid City's walls. Individual and Band Lessons helps students build community, express their uniques voices, and grow as artists with each other's support.

Job & Career Readiness

Kid City maintains opportunities for high school and college students to gain essential skills and work experience to prepare them for their first jobs. Opportunities include resume building, career coaching, internships & fellowships, and a specialized arts event production training.
